Evangelist training
As well as our annual Evangelism Summit the S&L Advance Evangelism Team will be running a new course for equipping evangelists in the new academic year 2026-27.
We will launch with our October 2026 Evangelism Summit and five more sessions throughout the year. To be involved in the 5 sessions you will need to apply with the application form below.
What does it include?
The course will include:
Session 1 Fri 2nd October 2026 – Evangelism Summit
Session 2 Fri 13th November – Context for UK, bit of a city, mainly towns, what does on the ground look like? Plus getting to know their context. What are your plans for Alpha or other courses in the new year?
Session 3 Fri 29th January 2027 – Different models for evangelism – What suits you the most?
Session 4 Fri 12th March – Church evangelism together – working with others which include inviting people to Sunday’s.
Session 5 Fri 14th May – How do we work well with leaders and leadership teams.
Session 6 Fri 2nd July – Discipleship of new believers and passing them on well.
It is an exciting time to be living and sharing the gospel, almost every week there is a famous person speaking about their faith in the media and interest in faith in God is really growing. This is why we want to encourage and equip those who are wanting to share Jesus with others by running our own Salt and Light Evangelism course. As part of the course we will look at understanding the context of the UK and culture, different models for evangelism, working together in our churches, working with leaders and discipleship for new believers.
